Under Turkey's national FATIH education technology program, system integrator NETAS deployed a nationwide school Wi-Fi network built on Edgecore access points and controllers with centralized backup management. Phase 1 equipped thousands of schools, with a substantially larger second phase planned.

NCTU deployed Edgecore bare-metal switches running an ONOS SDN-IP control plane to build what was described as Taiwan's first SDN-IP network, peering with existing BGP research networks abroad. The small deployment functioned more as a research/pilot network than a large production environment.

NYCU's Hsinchu campus went live in 2021 as one of the world's first production OpenWiFi networks, running Edgecore EAP101 Wi-Fi 6 access points under a CloudSDK controller for student connectivity. The university and Edgecore also co-run an OpenWiFi development sandbox where graduate students build services against the platform's OpenAPI.
