HOSPITALITY NETWORK MODERNISATION

The property's network predates streaming. Guests complain in reviews, the PMS shares a switch with the lobby printer, and every renovation adds another unmanaged box in a ceiling. You need hotel-grade Wi-Fi and a network you can actually see.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE AT THE END

  • In-room Wi-Fi that holds video calls and streaming, floor by floor
  • Guest, staff, PMS and CCTV traffic separated by design
  • One cloud dashboard for the whole property (multi-property capable)
  • Wall-plate APs in rooms — no visible cabling, no renovation damage
  • Branded guest portal with your login flow
  • Documented as-built for the property engineer

TAIWAN · 2022

The ParkView resort hotel in Hualien refreshed its guest wireless on Edgecore SunSpot access points administered through ecCLOUD, replacing costlier on-site controller infrastructure with centralized cloud operation. The case cites stable guest connectivity and lower infrastructure cost but publishes no AP, room, or user counts.

Nurtur House Sheffield (student accommodation)

UNITED KINGDOM · 2025

Managed ISP ASK4 built an in-room OpenWiFi network at the Nurtur House student residence in Sheffield, installing 180 Edgecore EAP104 wall-plate units cabled over RJ-45 and run from a CloudSDK controller. The deployment is presented as proof that a disaggregated OpenWiFi stack can serve commercial student-accommodation service levels.

QUESTIONS BUYERS ASK

Deployment with guests in-house?
Work is scheduled wing-by-wing with the front office; noisy work windows are agreed daily. No property-wide outage is required.
PMS integration?
The guest portal integrates with common PMS flows via AuthPort; specifics are confirmed in design against your PMS.
Can we keep our existing cabling?
Where certification tests pass, yes — the survey states reuse per run; wall-plate APs often reuse existing room jacks.
Multiple properties, one view?
Yes — cloud management is multi-property by design; a group dashboard is part of the standard handover.
NBTC approvals?
Confirmed per model in the BOM.
What does the guest see?
Your brand: portal, SSIDs and login flow are yours; the infrastructure is invisible.
