HOME/PROGRAMS/Factory Program
Upgrade your factory network for Wi-Fi 7, CCTV growth, automation and AI workloads — in most plants without replacing the existing structured cabling.
— and in many cases with the upgrade cost qualifying for BOI efficiency-improvement incentives.
- 1Upgraded IDF — EPS203 (90 W/port PoE) + online UPS ≥15 min + PDU A/B; the existing switch parallel-runs during cutover; cooling checked where ambient is uncontrolled
- 2OT zone per IEC 62443 (L0–L2) — PLC/SCADA; the conduit through the firewall is the only OT↔IT crossing
- 3CCTV VLAN + NVR — logged access; PDPA retention days set at design
- 410G core — new fibre is the only new cabling (dashed = riser)
- 5Hatched areas = 6 GHz indoor-only zones (NBTC LPI 250 mW) — assembly cells and QC stations
THAILAND RULES WE DESIGN TO
EVERY FACT SOURCED — RECHECKED QUARTERLYThailand opens 5.925–6.425 GHz only (500 MHz, not the full 1,200): low-power indoor 250 mW EIRP, very-low-power portable 25 mW — no standard-power or AFC class. So 6 GHz is an indoor-density band here: Wi-Fi 7 coverage plans on 5 GHz, with 6 GHz for assembly cells and QC stations — and yard APs stay 2.4/5 GHz.
SOURCE ↗The BOI efficiency-improvement measure gives existing factories a 3-year CIT exemption capped at 50% of the qualifying investment — 100% where ≥30% of the upgraded-machinery value links to the Thai automation industry — minimum ฿1M, start-up within 3 years of the certificate; the refreshed window runs through the last working day of 2027. Network infrastructure may qualify as part of a promoted upgrade project.
SOURCE ↗The official NSTDA/FTI readiness index measures six dimensions; the 2023 survey averaged 2.38 (small), 2.45 (medium), 3.07 (large) — and the BOI's Industry 4.0 efficiency measure relies on NSTDA assessment under this framework. Our Readiness Check maps network verdicts onto the connectivity-dependent dimensions and exports a page you can attach to your own index submission.
SOURCE ↗CII operators must segment OT, audit and report incidents to the NCSA; PDPA covers CCTV footage of staff and visitors, with breach reporting to the PDPC within 72 hours where the breach risks data subjects' rights. The OT/IT segmentation matrix and the logged CCTV VLAN are compliance deliverables here — the acceptance list includes an evidence pack written for your DPO and auditor.
SOURCE ↗Thai industrial feeders see frequent voltage sags — and a 48-port PoE switch is a 700 W-class load that reboots every camera on one. The design specifies online double-conversion UPS per IDF (PoE load + 25%, ≥15 min), dual-PSU switches on separate circuits, and IDF cooling checks in tropical ambient. Acceptance test: all cameras survive a 30-second simulated sag.

TEN MOMENTS PLANTS COME TO US
- Design the network before the slab is poured: Cat 6A to 100 m, fibre risers, IDF power — once.
- The new hall gets 10G edge; the old hall follows on its existing cabling.
- Wi-Fi 7 on your Cat 5e — and 6 GHz planned the way NBTC actually licenses it.
- More cameras, PoE headroom, PDPA retention configured — on one segmented VLAN.
- MES rollouts fail on jitter, not bandwidth. We measure PLC cycle jitter before and after.
- Refresh the IDF, not the walls: UPS, cooling, dual PSU, 25G uplinks.
- Vendor EOL is a budget event. Turn it into a BOI-eligible upgrade.
- Segment to IEC 62443 zones — the evidence your CII audit asks for.
- Vision QC needs multi-gig at the line and a GPU node inside the fence.
- One IDF standard for every future building.
